Scout email OSINT
Runs on the device. In connected mode Scout joins a Wi-Fi AP and makes these DNS/HTTPS calls itself — no companion needed — then shows the readout on its own screen. You enter an email on the device (or push one over USB from Scout Studio). This page is the exact UI reference for that screen and a working browser copy you can try now. Every check is keyless and passive: public DNS and registry reads only — Scout never connects to anyone’s mail server.
What is Scout email OSINT?
Scout email OSINT is an on-device email-posture and account-exposure check that runs on MaxIntel Scout, the passive RF/OSINT handheld built on the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.54 and part of maxintel.org. In connected mode the device joins a Wi-Fi access point and makes the DNS and HTTPS calls itself — no companion app needed — then shows the readout on its own screen. This page is the exact UI reference for that screen plus a working browser copy you can try now. Every check is keyless and passive: public DNS and registry reads only — Scout never connects to anyone’s mail server.

Look up an email
Resolves the domain’s mail posture (MX / SPF / DMARC / DKIM), checks a disposable-provider list on board, and tests whether the address has a public Gravatar profile.
What each line means
MX — mail servers for the domain. No MX = the domain can’t receive mail (address almost certainly invalid). SPF / DMARC / DKIM — the domain’s anti-spoofing posture; missing or weak (p=none) means mail from it is easier to forge. Disposable — the domain is a throwaway/temporary-mail provider (9,900+ known, carried on the device). Gravatar — a public avatar/profile tied to this exact address, a pivot into other accounts. Catch-all is not probed: confirming it needs an SMTP conversation with someone else’s server, which would break Scout’s passive rule.
Keyless APIs: Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS (MX/TXT), Gravatar (avatar existence), and the on-board disposable-domains list (community list, MIT/CC0). This mirrors MaxIntel’s site OSINT tools; the device version is set up from Settings (DoH endpoint) and lives alongside the Scout OSINT console.
