Scout settings

Keys and options for a connected Scout and its companion tools. Saved in this browser and exportable, so they survive updates. On the device these map to a settings area that OTA firmware updates don’t erase (a full chip erase does — keep an export as backup).

What are MaxIntel Scout settings?

This is the settings reference for MaxIntel Scout, the passive RF/OSINT handheld built on the Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.54 and part of maxintel.org. It holds the keys and options a connected Scout and its companion tools use — your WiGLE API key, saved position, companion-output and auto-update flags, the spy-detection threshold, and the API endpoints the device calls. Values are stored in your browser and are exportable, so they survive updates; on the device they map to a settings area that OTA firmware updates don’t erase (a full chip erase does — keep an export as backup).

WiGLE API (BSSID history)

Needed for the BSSID history lookup (where an access point has been seen). Get a free token at wigle.net/account → “Show my token” (API Name + API Token). Stored only here/on the device, sent only to WiGLE.

API endpoints (advanced — defaults are fine)

Export writes a scout-settings.json you can re-import after a clean reflash, or copy to the device. These same settings are read by Scout OSINT console and Scout Studio.
