Surveillance-maker MAC lookup
Paste a Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth MAC/BSSID and see whether its maker prefix belongs to a known camera, licence‑plate reader, drone, body‑cam, smart‑glasses or tracker vendor. This is the Scout device’s surveillance‑detector brain, as a no‑hardware web tool. A maker prefix is a lead, not proof: it says who built the radio, not that the device is a camera.
Wi-Fi name & Bluetooth ID
Beyond maker prefixes, Scout also flags surveillance by network name and Bluetooth identifier. Paste a Wi‑Fi SSID or a BLE service UUID / company ID (0xFD44, 0x00C7…).
Source: the Scout sc_ouis table, built from the IEEE OUI registry plus open Flock/ALPR field research. Confidence is 0–100 evidence strength. Many vendors also make non‑surveillance gear, and anyone can clone a MAC, so treat a hit as a prompt to look, not a conclusion. For checking a phone for stalkerware, see the Phone Stalkerware Check.
