Aircraft overhead

Live aircraft near a point, as a radar and a map, with the detail on each one — the display a connected Scout shows when it pulls an ADS‑B feed over Wi‑Fi. Optionally overlay nearby licence‑plate‑reader cameras from DeFlock/OpenStreetMap.

Internal preview. Not in the site menu, guides, sitemap or tool index — URL-only while you test it.

Notes

  • Live data comes from adsb.lol (free, no key). It sends no CORS header, so a browser can’t call it directly — the Scout device can (no CORS), and in a browser you point the box below at a proxy. The Demo button uses a bundled snapshot so the UI works anywhere.
  • ALPR cameras come from OpenStreetMap via Overpass (the data DeFlock contributes to). Overpass allows CORS, so that layer works in the browser.
  • Passive. This only reads public broadcast data. Aircraft on ADS‑B transmit position by design; some (military/blocked) do not appear.
